Go Tasman! Our very own wild man taming the slopes

April! Spring has finally hit Paris, making us realize how long our winter actually was. We had two days last week with warm temperatures, clear skies, and, thanks to the clocks moving forward, nice long days. We're now back to cold and rain, but at least we know that an alternative is possible.

In the past month, we were happy to play host to Adham's old friend Roland and his daughters Aurine and Adriana, who were visiting from Liechtenstein. We did a trip to the Jardin des Plantes together, which is actually the closest Paris has to a zoo, stopping on the way at one of Paris' oldest monuments, the Roman amphitheater. Amazing to see something that old in the middle of this city that's so much better known for its history of the past couple hundred years.

Tasman is still loving his Kindergarten class, and is turning into a great reader. Crystal and Adham remember not really being introduced to reading until 1st grade, but things have certainly changed a lot since then. Atlas is also thriving in his Montessori school, and now breaks spontaneously into very beautifully pronounced French when the mood strikes him.

Besides the Switzerland trip memorialized here and on our photo page, we haven't taken any other trips of note lately. We do however have a trip to Provence planned for a couple weeks from now, so we'll let you know how that goes.

Our tasmansworld.com website was featured in a recent issue of the Foreign Service Journal, which has led to a number of interested outsiders letting us know that they've visited - many of them also i nterested in life as a Foreign Service family. Honestly, we can't complain!

Here are those pictures -
