Little Atlas has been with us for almost a month now, and boy are we sleepy! Just as we're getting Tasman to sleep (most of the way)through the night, along comes a newborn with a penchant for being wide awake when all we really, really, really want to do is sleep. But hey, who's complaining? Especially when you've got a cute little kid.

Gramma Thora and Grampa Wafik came out for a while over Thanksgiving to meet their new grandson and spend some time with the rest of us too. The jury is still out as to who Atlas most resembles!

We're now just about three months away from our big move to Bangladesh, and there's still so much to do. Atlas has to be officially added to our family in the eyes of the State Department, so he can accompany us overseas at government expense. To do that, we have to get him medically cleared, a much less rigorous process for him than it was for us. We also have to arrange our flight details, our packout, vaccinations, and arrival in Dhaka. It's all exciting, and a bit nervewracking at the same time.

Adham continues his full-time study of Bengali, and is about halfway through that. It's going well and he's finding it lots of fun. Crystal is working at least as hard, taking care of two little kids when Adham's not at home, and for a good portion of the time when he is.

Your time to visit us in DC is coming to a close, so let us know if you'll be passing through anytime before mid-February. If not, then you'll have no choice but to come see us in Dhaka!
