What a difference a long weekend in Bali makes! It wasn't that easy to get there (midnight departure from Dhaka, three and a half hour flight to Singapore, several hours layover there before the two hour flight to Bali), but we gotta say that it was worth it. We had both been to Bali before, but some years before. This time of course we had the kids with us, and stayed at a nice resort, the Bali Hyatt. We knew that we weren't really going to be getting to know the culture given the limited time and the carting around two little kids routine, so we were quite happy to stay in our own corner of paradise for a few days. How nice it was to be able to go back and forth between beach and pool all day long, interrupted by yummy food at appropriate intervals. Some more pictures from our time there here. | |
